FAQs

Are your stones and pearls natural?

Nearly every stone and pearl in the collection is natural. We are drawn to materials for their geological histories, luminosity, and unique character.

Occasionally, we work with materials such as opalite, glass, or resin when they possess a particular quality of color or light. When a material is not natural, it is always identified in the product description.

Where do you source your materials?

The collection is built slowly through travel, study, and observation.

We source stones and pearls from trusted suppliers, gem shows, vintage lots, artisans, and makers around the world. Some materials are discovered while rockhounding with our daughters in the Pacific Northwest, while others come from vintage Japanese pearl stock and longstanding relationships with gemstone dealers.

We do not follow trends. We follow curiosity. Many materials remain with us for years before finding their way into a piece.

Where are the pieces made?

Some pieces are handcrafted in our Pacific Northwest studio. Others are thoughtfully sourced from artisans, vintage collections, and makers around the world.

What unites the collection is not where an object comes from, but the feeling it carries.

Are all stones and pearls unique?

Yes.

Natural materials contain subtle variations in color, shape, inclusions, and luster. These variations are part of their beauty and ensure that no two pieces are exactly alike.

What metals do you use?

We work primarily with 925 sterling silver and 18k gold vermeil.

Gold vermeil consists of a thick layer of 18k gold over a sterling silver foundation, offering the warmth and richness of gold with exceptional longevity. Like sterling silver, it benefits from thoughtful care and develops character through wear.

How should I care for my jewelry?

Wear your pieces often.

Store them thoughtfully and avoid prolonged exposure to water, perfume, lotions, and household chemicals. Pearls benefit from particularly gentle care and should be wiped with a soft cloth after wearing.

Natural materials evolve with time and use. We consider this part of their beauty.

Can I wear my jewelry in water?

We recommend removing jewelry before swimming, bathing, exercising, or sleeping. Water, perfumes, and cosmetics may shorten the life of pearls and metal finishes.

Do you offer custom lengths?

Many necklaces and bracelets can be made in custom lengths. Please contact us before placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Do stones hold meaning?

Across cultures and centuries, stones and pearls have been associated with protection, transformation, memory, and connection.

We are interested less in symbolism than in resonance—the quiet pull certain materials seem to possess. Whether understood as intuition, memory, frequency, or simply aesthetic attraction, certain materials have a way of finding us when we are ready to notice them.
